request for a more recent version

Binary package hint: awesome

It would be nice to have a more recent version of awesome in the hardy repos, like 2.2 or maybe even 2.3, especially considering the fact that the configuration has changed so much recently and many new features are available.

I can't change the importance of this bug, so if someone in charge can make it "Wishlist" that would be pretty...dare I say it?...awesome.

We have 2.3 in intrepid. To have it in hardy you should ask for a backport:

Hmm. packages.ubuntu.com says the binary package in intrepid is 2.0.final-1, while the source package is 2.3~rc3-1 (I think). This confuses me.
