Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-2

I miss a feature in firefox which is available in other operating systems. The middle mouse button does not do anything in Firefox for Ubuntu when in other operating systems you either get the 4 arrows that smoothly scrolls around the page or in other scenarios a hand cursor comes up to move page around. Why does middle button (mouse button 3 - wheel) dragging not do anything in Ubuntu.

Are you saying this was done on purpose? I don't understand what is meant by "middle mouse can be confusing"? What are some workarounds to getting scroll functionality or page grab functionality?

go to about:config and search for middlemouse. www.ubuntuforums.org is
probably a better place to ask such questions.
