Bug Description

This may well be a dupe of bug#209076, but the file systems are different.

Basically I can manually mount drives but none of the drives (except root) automount. If I try to access my external usb in dolphin I get an error message and dmesg | tail shows:

It's worth mentioning that this laptop has never had a CD-ROM. (It's an HP TC1100)

I'm on Kubuntu 8.04 remix with KDE 4.04 (although I've had the problem since 4.0)

Oh, for the record the file systems that aren't mounting are an EXT3 drive and a FAT16 usb key.

Is this still an issue with Kubuntu 9.10 or 10.04?

It was with a Lucid machine. I haven't updated it in a few weeks though, so I'll do that and confirm if it's still happening...
