rhythmbox with "use replaygain" option set produces no sound in some cases

There's some cases when rhythmbox plays no sound at all when "use replaygain" option is set. Re-writing replaygain info with mp3gain tool fixes this problem.

what ubuntu version do you use? what is this replaygain option? could you describe easy steps to trigger the issue on hardy?
