krecordmydesktop continues to record after choosing to stop

krecordmydesktop:
Installed: 0.1~alpha1+debian-1
Candidate: 0.1~alpha1+debian-1
After choosing "Stop Recording" from the tray icon's menu, the application will continue to record until the user specifies a filename to save to. I would expect it to stop as soon as I choose the "Stop Recording" option, rather than add to the file by recording the save dialog. I've attached a screencast showcasing the problem.
