I do not have any crash on this page.
Please try to go on hulu.com with a clean profile, using firefox -safe-mode

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs, or upload (as an attachment) the crash report from /var/crash/.

Also, please answer these questions:
Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which Firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.
I cannot reproduce this problem with my hardy and Firefox 3 b5.

I can verify this. Ubuntu 8.04, Firefox 3 Beta 5. I try deleting all browsing history, closing Firefox and reopening it, logging out and back in, etc. Sometimes it will go there but then sometimes it just doesn't want to go. I will look into more details on this.

David please dont verify crashes please open your own bug report and attach the backtrace or crash report there.
For every crash bug we need one crash report we cant handle to reports on one bug as they may be different.

It's crashing nearly every time I visit www.hulu.com, and not on any other sites I go to. The problem would seem to be exactly the same as skidaddy's. But if you would prefer, I will just watch this bug to see its outcome first.

Arnaud -- for my case, safe mode does not fix it. Nothing appears in /var/crash. Here is the console output:

** Gtk:ERROR:(/build/buildd/gtk+2.0-2.12.9/gtkgtkplug.c:182):gtk_plug_set_is_child: assertion failed: (!GTK_WIDGET (plug)>parent)
Aborted

Okay I was able to obtain a backtrace so I opened a separate bug 231459. Sorry for the interference with this bug report.

seems to get better when you disable an add-on called xulrunner
but when you rerun it sometimes it will work fine. try disabling it and
then go to the site then re enable it.

Changing bug to be xulrunner-1.9 and i really dont prefer people to
disable it as its the platform that firefox is built on.

Please run firefox like:

 strace -f -eopen firefox &> /tmp/ffox.strace.txt

and attach the /tmp/ffox.strace.txt file to this bug, _after_ you
reproduced the crash.
