Bug Description
Binary package hint: yum
The latest version of yum can be found here, however, installing it doesn't work any better than installing the one in the repositories, the one in the repositories requests a model that exists, yet insists it is not installed, and the latest version asks for module yum, and I can't figure out how to compile module yum.

Hi,
I'm the maintainer of yum in Debian.
We are using this version of yum in production to bootstrap CentOS from a Lenny dom0. It does work pretty well.
When you say "installing it doesn't work any better than installing the one in the repositories", I don't understand what repository you are talking about here. Please be more specific, I don't understand either when you say "the one in the repositories requests a model that exists, yet insists it is not installed, and the latest version asks for module yum".
