Bug Description
In previous (ubuntu 5.04) when
export LANG=en_US
xev
and then pressing e.g. key å (keysym 0xe5,aring)
XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (e5) "å"
but in current (ubunt 5.10 preview)
XLookupString gives 1 bytes: (e5) "
if echoed to an output file this becomes 0x8e5
which is the same code as when e.g. en_US.UTF-8
was chosen. This implies that these keys are not working with applications
expecting iso-8859 codes.
