Bug Description
In my laptop when I boot in single user mode (through typing the word 'single' at the end of grub kernel line, at boot time) the system shows to me a text based gui where I should select three options (continue to boot - enter in single user mode and login as root user - fix X).
But the problem is that with cursor keys I cannot select these options (I see strange characters ^B^C..etcetcetc in my monitor) nor the enter key seems to run.
My system is hardy heron Ubuntu x86-64
