Bug Description

Binary package hint: k3b

I started an audio CD project, added some wav files, and manually filled in the titles in the "Titles (CD text)" column. Then I clicked Burn, and went to the CD text tab. There were two text input boxes, labelled "Title" and "Performer", along with two small buttons whose icons did not make it obvious what they do (screenshot attached). I clicked the one next to "Title", and nothing seemed to happen. I waited for the tooltip, which said "copy to all tracks". I realised that K3B had erased all the titles (by overwriting them with the contents of the "Title" text input in the screenshot attached, which was blank) of individual tracks that I had filled in by hand.

K3B should not erase data without warning. The Burn dialog box may cover the Title column in the main K3B window, and users may not even realise what has happened.

K3B 1.0.4, using KDE 3.5.9, on Kubuntu 8.04.

Still a problem in 10.04. The icon is not real clear - I thought it would provide an option to import cd-text from a file.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner.
There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.10). If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect <bug #>, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
