Bug Description

When trying to run 'gnome-app-install' under Hardy I get the error message:

/usr/bin/python: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so: undefined symbol: gst_control_source_get_type

I don't know if this is related, but I get a similar error when starting pidgin, which is why I installed Pidgin 2.4.0 instead of the repo-pidgin.

Please tell me, if you need further information.

thank you for your bug report, could you run ldd /usr/lib/python2.5/site-packages/gst-0.10/gst/_gst.so and attach the information to the bug?

Was my own fault, had an old set of libgst*-modules in /usr/local/lib so that the real ones in /usr/lib weren't found.

Changed in gst0.10-python:
status: New → Invalid
