Bug Description

Kubuntu 8.04
KDE 3.5.9
K3b 1.0.4-2ubuntu4
compiz 1:0.7.4-0ubuntu6

While compiz is running, when I insert a blank DVD/CD and then a KDE Daemon displays the "Autorun" dialog in which I choose "Create Data DVD with K3b..." (or CD), while k3b is launching, X server crashes. This happens every time! I tried this without compiz running, no crash.

I noticed that k3b is very unstable while compiz is running, I managed to burn the DVD (without using the autorun dialog), but when k3b finished burning and when I clicked Close button, X server crashed again!

This is very annoying, and I didn't notice this in Gutsy!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Could you try to reproduce the same with Ubuntu 9.04? Thanks in advance.
