Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Under 7.10, Firefox (2.0.0.12 etc.) with Java could be used to access a remote Windows machine using LogMeIn. Since the upgrade, this no longer works. The symptom is that when attempting to enter a logon password into the remote logon screen, the screen simply redraws slowly. It is not therefore possible to logon to the remote machine.

Someone else has already also experienced the problem and reported it to the LogMeIn forum, but there has as yet been no solution.

Why is Ubuntu supplying beta software (Firefox 3.0b5) for critical user functions?

Update: I have now tried this access with Konquerer and with Opera and both exhibit the same problem.
