CD/DVDrom can't be mount nor to be use

I did check and check again my Fstab (normal), forum ... No one has a solution.
I can not mount my CD/DVDrom/recorder. It's connected by IDE (Hard Disk by Sata2). The only thing I can do with it, is to open/close it.

I'm using 8.04 (32bit), the kernel 2.6.24-17-generic with Gnome 2.22.1
I tryed with the kernel 2.6.24-17, -16, -15, -14-generic. But always the same problem :
I can access only for reading media and can not be allowed copying any thing :(

Since it's been a very long time since any additional info was added to this bug, I'm just checking to see if this is still an issue, and find out what additional work should be done on this bug.

I can use my CD/DVDrom/recorder one time just after start up Ubuntu. Teen/fifteen minutes later, it's finish. I have no idea to resolve this bug, so I didn't try anything else.
I will install the 9.10 (64 bit) has secondary OS and install the next LTS (in 32 or 64) for my primary use. If that persite, I will buy a LG or Samsung probably.
