Bug Description

I have no sound and when I try to test the sound in System>Preferences>Sound I get the following error:
audiotestsrc wave=sine freq=512 ! audioconvert ! audioresample ! gconfaudiosink: Failed to connect stream: Invalid argument

I have a Terratec DMX 6fire 24/96 soundcart.
On the forum I had help and I have tried to do the following (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshooting?action=show&redirect=DebuggingSoundProblems):

sudo aptitude install linux-ubuntu-modules-`uname -r`

But today I had startup the computer and the sound is away again.

I also think this bug is related with the problem that I cannot play movie trailers on the internet (the little screen stays black).
But yesterday when the sound was solved the video problem was also solved.

Below I have two screenshots:

I have the idea that Pulse audio is the cause of the problem.
