Bug Description
Binary package hint: shorewall-perl
The current version of shorewall-perl, and probably shorewall-shell, has problems when using the builtin QoS capability due a bug of the current iproute distributed with Hardy stable.
I have already filed a bug for iproute:
https:/
but there are workarounds available for the described problem. It is a matter of deciding where the solution to this problem will go, in the shorewall package or in iproute.
A fix for previous versions of shorewall is described here (See #2):
http://
I haven't tested if it works with the current version.

I have tested it by installing: iproute_ 20071016- 3_amd64. deb and the shorewall-perl compilation finished successfully.
