Evince does not show up on "Open with"

Just noticed that evince does not show up on the list for Open With. This is
with a fresh colony 5 install. I suspect it may have something to due with the
fact that it was removed from the menus.

What is the mimetype of the file according to nautilus? What happen when you
click on it? What does the "open with" tab of the properties dialog list?

It doesn't even show up when I right click on a pdf.

In both Breezy and Dapper, "Evince" or "Document Viewer" doesn't appear in the long list of applications in the "Open with Other Applications" right-click menu.

But "Document Viewer" is the default option at the top of the menu you get when you right-click on a pdf file, so is this is really an issue since evince is easily accessible to the user?

Yes, because Evince can open more than just PDFs.

Duplicate of bug #26590 which is fixed upstream and will be fixed for dapper so
