Bug Description

in gnome save mode.

User Error! the existance of temorary directorys /tmp/*username* and the installation of mono (before upgrade) will cause your session to fail (bonobo-activation-server and nautilus and the gnome panel will have problems) after distribution upgrade (only gnome desktop).

Solution: The distribution upgrade should mention the erase of those temprary files... at least before upgrading.
