XGL - no lighting in 3d games (like openarena, tremulous) - lightmaps problem

Bug Description

When using Xgl, then 3d games have trouble with lighting.

Walls are almost 100% black - unless I switch rendering mode to vertex instead lightmap, then it's fine.

ubuntu 8.04 amd64 nvidia gt 8600

when Xgl is disabled, it works fine

I.e. it occures in games:
tremulous (in high quality, with lighting mode: lightMAP or something, instead the vertex lighting thing)
and in open-arena (well, also quake3 based engine)

it does not occure in alien-arena, I guess because it seems to always use vertex lighting even for walls/map

Can anyone test it? Please write what gfx card, cpu, smp or single core etc.
