Bug Description

Every new version of Kubuntu makes trouble concerning loop-aes support.

After a distribution-upgrade to 8.04 i can't access my crypted filesystem. In Adept-manager no current version of loop-aes-modules is available.

Any hints to install manually?

Kind regards

Alex

I can confirm this. To install manually,
 - install linux-header
 - get http://loop-aes.sourceforge.net/loop-AES-latest.tar.bz2, extract and open a root shell in the extracted directory
 - run "make"
 - type "rmmod loop"
 - type "modprobe loop"

My 2.6.24-15-generic system has both loop and aes-i586 modules available on it. Is this still an issue for you?

Hi Brian,

yes, this is still an issue as the vanilla loop / cryptoloop module doesn't support loop-aes ( http://sourceforge.net/projects/loop-aes/ ).

Best regards,
Victor
