ubuntu-minimal cannot be found - Dapper to Herd network upgrade

Bug Description

While doing a network upgrade from Ubuntu 6.4 to 8.4, I have encountered that 'ubuntu-minimal' cannot be found any more. Part of the upgrade log is given below:

Checking package manager
Reading package lists: Donehardy-security/universe Packages: 98 98
Building dependency tree: Done
Building dependency tree: Done
Building dependency tree: Done

Invalid package information

After your package information was updated the essential package
'ubuntu-minimal' cannot be found any more.
This indicates a serious error, please report this bug against the
'update-manager' package and include the files in
/var/log/dist-upgrade/ in the bugreport.

Restoring original system state

Aborting

Thanks for your bugreport.

It looks like the server used "http://update.onlinehome-server.info/ubuntu/" is not know to update-manager. Please try to switch to a different one (like de.archive.ubuntu.com) and see if that fixes the issue. If "http://update.onlinehome-server.info/ubuntu/" is a official mirror, I can it it to our list.
