Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

Mac OS 10.5 Calendar Server providing calendars via CALDAV, Ubuntu 8.04 desktop upgraded from 7.10.

Trying to access calendars, even trying to delete freezes Evolution. This also causes the gnome-panel world clock applet to completely lock up the gnome-panel when clicking on the date.

With a clean slate, adding a calendar succeeds but displays no entries. Exiting then restarting fails, requiring a killev. The calendar still does not work, but attempting to delete the calendar causes Evolution to freeze.

Workaround is to delete the gconf entries and re-login.

The issue could be evolution-data-server crashing, could you attach gdb to it before trying to open the calendar applet?

I'm having the same problem, when I left-click the clock gnome-panel lock and I have to kill it.

Same problem for me while left-clicking on the gnome-panel clock.

I also have an active Calendar in Evolution but a Google one.

Well...

Unselecting-reselecting the active calendar in Evolution has solved the problem.
Weird.

Same problem here with google calendar in evolution. My gnome-panel would freeze (top and bottom) when I clicked on the clock, and I had to force reboot. I disabled that calendar in evolution and the things started working normal again.

I reopened this ticket because I'm affected by this bug too.
I add a caldav calendar pointing to a Google calendar. When I start evolution, it freezes as soon as I try to handle my calendars.
