Bug Description
While using Ctrl+F to find text in documents, I noticed that it often reported not finding it already on the first letter, even though that letter was in the text. It is reproducible by opening google, pressing Ctrl+F (getting the cursor out of the input area of course) and entering the number 2. It will not be found. Now enter any other character, and delete this character. The number 2 in 2008 will be found. Entering the number 0 will find nothing, entering another 0 will find 00 in 2008.
However, I could not reproduce it on launchpad.net. It is there on some pages but not others. I am very can not explain this.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Intrepid Ibex. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http:// www.ubuntu. com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.
