Bug Description

Binary package hint: nautilus
1- I make two new directories: A and B (no problem)
2- I make two new files: 1.txt and 2.txt (no problem)
3- I copy 1.txt and I paste in A directory. (no problem)
4- I cut 2.txt and I paste in B directory. It crashes (the window closes), but the file is copied. I have the same problem dragging the file icon with the mouse.

Then, in my /var/log/messages I have this line:

nautilus[10318]: segfault at 00000000 eip b764ea17 esp b69c9050 error 4

More information:
- ubuntu 8.04
- Lang: eu_ES (Basque language)
- nautilus 1:2.22.2-0ubuntu4
- gvfs 0.2.3-0ubuntu4

Despite of this, the file is copied. But nautilus crashes (the window closes).

I think is nautilus problem, because this gvfs command runs without errors:

>gvfs-move smb://server/resource/2.txt smb://server/resource/b/
>gvfs-ls smb://server/resource/b/
2.txt

Very odd place to crash, smells of another bug we've had with crashes in bad translations. Can you see if this bug persists with the English locale set?

Walton, you are right. I have this problem only with Basque language. The bug doesn't persist with the English locale set... Can I help fixing the bad translation? How can I do it?

could you not specify the version in the title, that is creates confusion and extra work when the new ubuntu version opens, especially when it's wrong

seems to be bug #197224, which is already fixed in rosetta, you might want to try the current translations or wait for the next language pack update
