can receive but can't send IM

Binary package hint: pidgin

it seems that i can receive IM from users using pidgin (on OpenSuse and Fedora) and yahoo messenger but they can't receive replies from me. i'm on hardy, initially on dev release but already updated to the stable version of 8.04. by the way, a friend of mine also has the same problems on his hardy.

Another untouched bug... Is this still reproducible on your updated system?
It sounds a lot like a networking issue, do you see any error messages?
