Confirmed, I believe this is an upstream bug. I will need to test on official OOo 2.4 with this file and verify that it refuses to update the file like the Ubuntu version does.

Michael,

Thanks for attaching the file, I needed it to show upstream the problem.

To work around this bug delete the file I had you attach from your system, it should then get regenerated and select the proper JVM.

Thanks,

Chris

I believe that this is fixed originally 1:2.4.1~rc1-1ubuntu1 in hardy-proposed. I will have to double check with a broken file to verify it is corrected.

Chris,

You have this marked as 'fix committed' for hardy - is the fix believed to be present now in 8.04.1? Should we subscribe the sru-verification team to confirm?

And is the bug also fixed for intrepid?

Steve,

The fix as far as being able to go into the Tools->Options->Java and select the new JRE you want to use is in both hardy and intrepid. Before the fix went in (afaict) it would not let you change it for some reason. However, it will still complain that your JRE isn't there if you were using one that is no longer there, but that really isn't a bug.

So yes this bug should be fixed afaik.

Chris
