IOError: [Errno 28] No space left on device
Without the full /var/log/syslog file from the install environment, I cannot tell which version of Ubuntu you were installing, but earlier versions of the installer would not warn you if you had insufficient space to complete the install or that it ran out of space while installing. However, this is fixed in 8.04.
If this was 8.04, please reopen this bug and attach /var/log/syslog and /var/log/partman from an install attempt.
Thanks!
