screenlet doesn't raise chatwindow

When clicking a contact in the contact list the chatwindow should gain focus and be raised above other windows. This doesn't happen. Other changes, like opening a new tab, happen but the new tab does not have focus in the window and the window is not raised.

I'm using the PidginScreenlet v 0.3.1 docked on the Sidebar screenlet v 2.0
I'm running screenlets v. 0.1.1

I believe you're using compiz ?
If so, this is because of the "Focus Prevention" behaviour within compiz.

Go to Compiz Settings
- General Options
   - Focus & Raise Behavior
     - Set Focus Prevention Windows to "!(class=Pidgin)" (Without quotes)

Thank you. That did the trick.

However! When I start a new conversation the new tab doesn't get raised within the window. The chat window is raised and focused but the new tab is behind whatever tab had focus earlier.

(I am now running Pidgin plugin 0.3.1 on screenlets 0.1.2

Unfortunately, the Pidgin Dbus interface doesn't allow switching to new tabs. Blame the Pidgin devs :-)

Had the same problem, and it did the trick for me too.
And yes, we *do* blame the pidgin devs every now and then :)
