Binary package hint: debian-installer

29 Apr 2008 20:10:34 INFO: HttpClient 6995 proxy request for http://
29 Apr 2008 20:11:09 INFO: HttpClient 6996 proxy request for http://
29 Apr 2008 20:11:56 INFO: HttpClient 6998 proxy request for http://
29 Apr 2008 20:13:56 INFO: HttpClient 7000 proxy request for http://
29 Apr 2008 20:14:47 INFO: HttpClient 7002 proxy request for http://
The server is downloading source package lists.
I would consider this a bug for two main reasons:
- servers shouldnt have source enabled
- it shouldnt look for updated source in an install (nothing to update) its just a waste of bandwidth
Thanks for your report, although frankly I consider this a feature, not a bug. It's also bug 74747.
