Bug Description

I follow all of the instructions but detection never proceeds. No devices are ever identified. Please let me know what other info I can provide.

Are you using a USB->PS/2 adapter? If so, remove it. PS/2 mice have had problems with btnx.

You can try attaching the output of "cat /proc/bus/input/devices" so I can have a look at it.

Unfortunately, yes, it is through a PS/2 adapter. I need to use the
adapter since it goes through a KVM switch. I've attached the file but
I suppose it won't be of any help.

You can try to temporarily bypass the KVM switch and plug the mouse straight into a USB port.
I don't remember the PS/2 specs well enough to know if it can even send extra button values from USB mice.
It can also be an issue with the adapter: it doesn't handle extra buttons correctly.
Another problem is that PS/2 doesn't register USB product and vendor IDs correctly, which is how btnx detects mice.

I'm marking this bug as invalid because it's not an error in btnx's behavior.
