Strangely the process of upgrading failed because it couldn't open a display and it shouldn't.

What method did you use to upgrade ?

Can you open a terminal and retry
sudo apt-get install ibritish language-support-writing-en

If that fails, can you please post the output.

the command "sudo apt-get install ibritish language-support-writing-en " seams work. But the install seams have already be done.. see file attachement.
after that, i use the command " apt-get autoremove" as written in this file.
and it's ok .

What method did I use to upgrade : from the task bar, the icon that appears with the following message "une mise à jour est disponible"
and i choose "nouvelle version 8.04 disponible/ installer".
