Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox

Firefox segfaults now, and I got it to launch by using it with sudo. I noticed it started to heavily segfault after installing the launchpad integration from add/remove. Here is the output from a terminal:
michael@michael-laptop:~$ firefox

Thank you for the bug report. Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on [WWW] https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MozillaTeam/Bugs, or upload (as an attachment) the crash report from /var/crash/.

Also, please answer these questions:
Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?
Which flash package do you have installed?
Which Java package do you have installed?
Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

I fixed the problem simply by removing my .mozilla folder and letting Firefox make a new one.

As to the questions:
Is this crash reproducible? If so, which are the steps that lead to it?

It was something in the .mozilla folder (I know that just so very helpful) and I don't know what caused it (possibly firefox-launchpad-plugin) ; it probably was something one of my extensions did to my conf files

Which flash package do you have installed?

flashplugin-nonfree

Which Java package do you have installed?

GCJ 4.2.3

Which firefox extensions do you have installed?

Adblock plus, Download Status bar, Session manager, Speed-Dial, MediaWrap, and User Agent Switch. The one I installed right before Firefox started to crash was "firefox-launchpad-plugin" from synaptic.

There is nothing pertaining to firefox in my /var/crash/ folder.

OK, thanks for the info. But since we don't have enough info we cannot
really work on this.

Anyway, my bet is some extension causing issues.
