Bug Description
After an upgrade from 6.06 to 8.04 :
The binary ldap_auth, distributed as part of squid, requires two libraries, which it thinks are called libldap_r.so.2 and liblber,so,2
These exist in 8.04 as
libldap-2.4.so.2 -> libldap_r-2.4.so.2
and
liblber-2.4.so.2 -> liblber-
But the names are wrong in ldap_auth
Fix:
Add symbolic links in to /lib :
libldap_r.so.2 → libldap_r-2.4.so.2
liblber.so.2 → liblber-2.4.so.2

According to my system, the file /usr/lib/ squid/ldap_ auth expects libldap_r-2.4.so.2 and liblber-2.4.so.2. Are you using a squid other than that packaged in Ubuntu?
