Bug Description

Binary package hint: soundkonverter

This bug occurs in soundkonverter 0.3.6.

I have just tried to convert some .ape files to .flac using soundkonverter. What I ended up with was a bunch of .oggs. These were roughly 20% to 25% the size of the original ape files, so they definitely were not flacs in an ogg wrapper.

Steps to reproduce:
Take some monkey's audio files (I don't know if this will work with other formats). Select "lossless". Select "flac". Tell soundkonverter to get on with it. Enjoy your oggs.

What should happen:
If you tell soundkonverter you want flacs, you should get flacs.

If you tell soundkonverter to produce wavs, it will produce flacs.

And if you tell it to produce .apes it will produce .au files.

sorry but i can't reproduce it with version 0.3.7. you could send me the log files (in ~/.kde/share/apps/soundkonverter/log/).
please clean the directory first, to not send me old logs and send me the logs before closing soundkonverter (it should delete the logs then).
i'll try to reproduce it with version 0.3.6 later.

I tried various different ways, but I also could not reproduce this with latest soundkonverter 0.3.10 in any way, the correct file-type is created. therefore I think it is best to close this for now, please reopen with more information if you can provide more detailed steps to reproduce this problem with later versions of soundkonverter.
