Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

1) I'm using ubuntu studio, installed from the dvd.

2) The package appears to be gnome-panel or whatever package that contains the 'Window List'-applet.

3)
I modified the panel to be on the vertical on the left border of the screen, with a with of 34, so that only icons are visible.
I put, among other applets, a 'Window List'-applet into it.
The 'Window List'-applet appeared to have a limited vertical size, I expected it to grow vertically when I open more applications.

4)
Instead of growing, the Applet just added the icons and reduced their size.
It can hold up to 8 icons, When it exceeds that number it doesn't show any more icons, the panel is rendered inresponsive to most actions and the process 'gnome-panel' chews as much cpu as it can get. The process can be ended and restarts if the number of applications the applet has to show is 8 or less.
