Bug Description

My system: Command line base install with alternate cd. Installed x-window-system-core kde-core kdm.

Problem: I installed KDM Theme Manager and enabled kdm themes. When I logged out to check out the theme I got a pop up window that said "cannot open theme file /usr/share/apps/kdm/theme/CurrentTheme". This is because it wraps quotes(") around the line - Theme="/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/CurrentTheme" - in /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc.

Quickfix: edit /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc and find the line

Theme="/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/CurrentTheme"

and take away the quotes like so

Theme=/usr/share/apps/kdm/themes/CurrentTheme

then save.

More Info: I have to edit kdmrc everytime I change themes.

The package affected by this bug will soon be removed from the Kubuntu development series (9.04). Since there is little hope that this issue gets ever resolved I am closing this bug report as won't fix.

Thank you very much for helping us improve Kubuntu.
