Bug Description

I've just upgraded to Hardy and noticed that Clock applet doesn't display properly.

I've added 3 locations to the applet. When you first drop the calendar-locations window down it is sized properly. However, if you look at the first screenshot you will see that the time for all the locations is displayed in 24-hours format. This is despite the fact that my preference was for 12-hours format and it is displayed in the proper format in the panel itself.

Next, in a few seconds, without me doing anything the format of the time on the locations changes to 12-hours format as it suppose to (see the second screenshot). However, this might make text next to one of the locations (Brisbane in my case) longer than the width of the window. This causes window to resize with it's right side extending slightly beyond the viewable area of the screen.

If, at this point, I mouse over the location with the longest text (Brisbane in my case) the applet is also attempting to display "Set..." button next to it. This causes window to extend even farther beyond the screen (see screenshot #3).

This is a problem because the calendar-locations window doesn't appear to be movable by a user (at least I wasn't able to move it), portion of the window becomes hidden and some of the buttons might become unaccessible to a user.

Pedro,

I think there are several bugs in here: time is not displayed in the proper format at first, when time changes window resizes in a way that it is partially hidden and if you hover mouse over long text it resizes more.

I tried to search for those bugs before entering them here, but I did not find anything. Care to provide bug numbers?

Also I don't think this bug should be marked as "Invalid." The bug is valid, it might be a duplicate and perhaps it should be marked as such, but it's not invalid.

Thank you.

the duplicates are sometime closed as invalid because the bugsquad doesn't have the ressources to search the exact number for every user opening a duplicate
