Bug Description
Binary package hint: firefox
Printing a document with tables causes many of the tables to end well above the end of the page, and just the the table's headers to be repeated at the top of the next page.
I'll see if I could construct a minimal demo document to attach here.
Here's an ASCII rendering of the problem:
page 1 ,`,`,`,`,`,`, page 2 ,`,`,`,`,`,`, page 3
------------------- ------------------- -------------------
Imagine a page ,`,`, This page has a ,`,` +----------+
full of text. This ` table. ,`,`,`,`,`,`, | Headers. |
page is here just ,` +----------+ ,`,`,`, +----------+
to demonstrate ,`,`, | Headers. | ,`,`,`,
what a full height ` +----------+ ,`,`,`, Notice how the
page looks like. ,`, | Table end| ,`,`,`, previous page ended
In this example, ,`,`,`,
a full page is nine ,`,`,`,
lines of text. ,`,`,`,
(This looks absolutely horrible in the variable-width font I get in this text box, but should align nicely in a fixed width font, like I believe the Launchpad bugs are displayed in after you submit them.)
Hardy installed from the 2008-03-20 beta live CD, Firefox 3.0 beta 5

is this still a problem with the latest ffox 3? If so, this is best dealt upstream as its not a ubuntu specific issue. first, verify that this is not caused by some extensions (disable all in tools -> addons and restart). Then please search in http:// bugzilla. mozilla. org to ensure that your bug isn't filed; then open a bug in http:// bugzilla. mozilla. org and post your bug id (or the one you found matching your issue) here. Thanks!
