Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-games

ubuntu 8.04
version 1:2.22.1.1-0ubuntu3

when i played same gnome, i selected fullscreen mode, i finished the game, and selected quit from the highscore menu. when i played it again, it was still in fullscreen mode. when i pressed f11, nothing happened, aside from a flicker. when i went to the view menu and selected the toggle fullscreen option, it did the same thing. now, i cant play same-gnome in windowed mode again. when i open it, it occupies the entire screen, and i cant turn fullscreen off.

if everyones going to be using this operating system in the future, the games section will probably be one of the first places they turn. people should not get disgouraged from ubuntu because of all of these bugs that are so readily apparent.

in case this information comes in handy, im using an hp m9060n and i have compiz fusion enabled, set to the preset "extra" setting

This bug is reproducible and I am hereby confirming this bug. When the game is opened, moved to fullscreen mode and closed in fullscreen mode, the game opens up in fullscreen mode the next time and it doesn't return back to normal mode.

Tried a bit more on this. When you return back to the game and press F11 to undo the full screen mode, what has happened is that the title bar of the same-gnome window is hidden beneath your top panel. Make your panel autohide and try to drag and minimize the window works. Marking this bug back to new and if the same fix applies to the orig. reporter, this bug can be closed as invalid.
