istanbul crashed with RuntimeError in parse_value()

Bug Description

Binary package hint: istanbul

Recording one application window, probably 3 or so seconds into the recording it reported a crash. However, it is still running:
greg@alexandria:~$ps axu | grep istan

The icon in the panel was still present as well, but unresponsive.
