Since last update, gksudo fade-in effect stopped working.
Log-off effect (the same effect) still works.
There is not any message which could help (even using --debug).
Versions installed are:
- gksu 1.3.0-1ubuntu9
- libgksu1.2-0 1.3.1-1ubuntu5
- libgksuui1.0-0 1.0.5-1ubuntu2

Thanks for your bugreport.

This is intentional. The UI team felt that the fading is a too much visual
effect for this dialog. If you disagree, feel free to reopen the bug and retitle
it accordingly.

Cheers,
 Michael

I agree with the UI team. It was a bit jarring for the desktop to pause (even on
speedy machines with decent graphics cards). Maybe it'll be better when the
compositing managers start making their way out of the labs and into production.

I liked the idea of the effect, but on my high-end pc using the nv driver, it
was very jerky.
I'd like to see something like it, but less heavy on the resources.
