Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

This problem only happens when dragging a maximized window to another workspace left. It works going right.

What should happen:

The dragged window is moved to the left workspace as a maximized window

What does happen:

It remains on the previous workspace.
It will move to the current one if you move the mouse down while dragging, but will be unmaximized.

I only noticed this on the final version of Hardy. It worked on Gutsy, and might have worked in hardy beta.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Intrepid Ibex. It would help us greatly if you could test with it so we can work on getting it fixed in the next release of Ubuntu. You can find out more about the development release at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/ . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

I can confirm that the bug still exists on Intrepid Ibex alpha 5 using the AMD64 Live CD. The only difference is that the problem exists in both directions (left and right).

I only a beginner at testing/reporting bugs, but am happy to help, so please let me know what information you need and how to get it.
