Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3 doesn't like URLs starting with "-" like this:
http://-kol.deviantart.com/art/Grass-Blades-73597063

Loads fine in anything else...
(I'm under hardy)

If you try to go to the page http://-kol.deviantart.com/art/Grass-Blades-73597063
with firefox on ubuntu, it fails to load. This error is not reproducible on Firefox 3b5 on my windows PC.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to webpage posted above
2.Get page load error

Actual Results:
Page load error

Expected Results:
Shown me the web page.

RFC 3986, section 3.2.2 (page 20):
   Such a name consists of a sequence of domain labels separated by ".",
   each domain label starting and ending with an alphanumeric character
   and possibly also containing "-" characters.

so the bug appears to be that we allow it on Windows.

Yeah, I was wondering, considering I've never dealt with URI's formed in such a way before. Guess I should go evangelize to deviantart too.

This is working as normal, url's are not supposed to start with this character and Firefox is simply following established W3C standards.
