Error when upgrading Kubuntu distribution from 7.10 to 8.04

Binary package hint: update-manager

When trying to upgrade the update-manager can't go through the second step. I got this message:

That what an overload problem.
Putting be.archive.ubuntu.com instead of fr.archive.ubuntu.com in /etc/apt/source.list resolved the problem.
Updated to hardy done !

Have a similar error, but I'm using au... Will attempt Binome's workaround.

Thanks for your bugreport.

The logs indicate that the servers were overloaded when you tried the upgrade. This should be a temprary issue only.

Since it looked like a srever problem and since there is no activity for a while, I close this report.
