Bug Description
Hi,
http://
of the driver available.
It also says that there is a 2.32 experimental version available.
This is the version shipped in the ov511 package.
Would you be willing to update to the experimental version? If so
would you like to see the ov511 package removed?
Thanks,
James

Hi James,
Sorry for the extremely delayed response here. Is there a specific reason for wanting to update the driver? It looks like the version in Hardy, Intrepid, and in the upstream kernel is still at version 1.64. It's likely I can get the kernel team to take a look at getting this updated for Intrepid but it's unlikely this will qualify for a Stable Release Update for Hardy assuming it doesn't fall under - http:// wiki.ubuntu. com/StableRelea seUpdates .
Also note that beginning with the Intrepid Ibex 8.10 development cycle the linux-ubuntu- modules package was actually merged with the linux kernel package. Going forward, bugs that would have been reported against linux-ubuntu- modules should now just be reported against linux. I'll go ahead and open the 'linux' task. I'm tentatively marking this "Won't Fix" for Hardy though.
