Bug Description

Binary package hint: irda-utils

irda-utils:
  Installed: 0.9.18-7ubuntu2
  Candidate: 0.9.18-7ubuntu2
  Version table:
 *** 0.9.18-7ubuntu2 0
        500 http://gb.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

At the end of the upgrade from Gutsy (7.04) to Hardy (8.04) I got a message pop up that the upgrade failed due to irda-utils package. The overall upgrade of the system seems to have succeeded nevertheless:

$> lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 8.04
Release: 8.04

I actually failed to ever use this package. It was meant to be used with an irda enabled phone but I failed to set it up properly. So perhaps it was already broken in some way.

I guess this report is not much of help.. but I thought I'd better give it a try.
