Hi, thanks for your report.

Can you give me more details.. when is this error message coming up? Also, can you attach a copy of your /etc/apt/sources.list file please?

I used Alt+f2 to get the run command and then this command kdesu "adept_manager --dist-upgrade-devel" to start the process.
I have tried using both the US servers and Main servers in adept both with the same results. Here is a attach screen shot of the error and when it occurs along with the sources list files.

Thanks for this additional information.

Can you please attach the files in /var/log/dist-upgrade/ to this report (especially main.log)?

If you move aside the files in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/* then the upgrade should work, but please attach the log first so that we can debug the failure.

Here are the logs and could you explain move aside do you mean rename or move to another directory or delete those files? Want to be sure as to what to do to be safe.

I'm also experiencing the problem. I've attached a screen shot of the error dialog.

It's not consistent. I've had the update work, but more often than not, a message like the attached screen shot will appear.

Shadow: Michael means to move to another directory... (that way you can move them back if everything goes more pear shaped)

Calgary, can you do what Michael asked Shadow to do please?

Failed to fetch http://archive.canonical.com/ubuntu/dists/hardy/Release Unable to find expected entry commercial/binary-amd64/Packages in Meta-index file (malformed Release file?)
