Bug Description

i got this error when i try to install ubuntu 8.0.4 desktop
on hard disk previusly installed with another linux system

The problem is the same with guided or manual partitioning
I think that the installer mount the partition to check file system type
and then it remain locked and cause the problem to mkfs.

Cleaning the disk resolve the issue.

Bye
