Bug Description

Booting from the Hardy RC CD.

Selecting Install option.

It comes to the desktop, and reports "Failed to initialize HALD".

What follows it the dmesg output, showing a kernel crash (as attachment, many information from proc/lspci/lsusb):

The same hardware works perfectly fine with the 7.10 CD.
