Bug Description

8.04 amd64 version

Graphics card Nvidia 7300,

The informational tags aren't shown,

ea. when you verify that the disk is ok, it runs to completion and will restart when you hit any key, but the message saying that the disk is ok never comes up.

I've tried 2 disks both passed md5sum,

The I386 disk worked correctly on the system.

Once you install and reboot, the same thing happens, the system takes forever to boot (without any info message), I shutdown the computer, and reinstalled with i386 and then found that the "hanging", was actually a file system check,

The red info messages work only on i386

I confirm this bug.
After an install, there is a 'I need to reboot now' message, which you have to OK. What you don't see is the (IMHO they're pink) message telling you to remove the CD that follows.

8.04 amd64 doesn't work
8.04 i386 works
8.04.1 i386 works
nVidia 5200 & 7200

Strange that it appears on one disk and not the other. I have identified the root cause of this issue in the USplash, however there is a chance in 9.10 it will be replaced, so until that decision is made this will be on hold.
